RPCushing Fund Raising Success at London Research Club
As a long-term sponsor of the Research Club, the folk at RPCushing headed over to Tiger Tiger for the most recent Research Club event in London on 29th March 2012. We have been enjoying planning this one with the committee, as it was going to be a bit different!

We kicked the evening off at 5.15pm with a talk from LinkedIn. They came along to show our research industry professionals how they can maximise their Linked In profiles to attract new clients to their business. The feedback was very positive and we hope to help organise similar events with the Research Club in the future.
After the LinkedIn presentation, we all headed down to the Boogie Wonder Lounge, where the evening event was to take place. Not only were we ready to catch up with people, we were also sporting green wigs and t-shirts – aiming to raise money for our designated charity– MacMillan. RPCushing is part of the Aspire Global Network and we’re aiming to raise £20,000 for MacMillan across the next year – no small task! We’ve split the company into teams who are each responsible for a month’s fundraising.

We managed to raise £150 towards the cause, and with an additional donation of another £150 from the Research Club committee the total amount raised was £300. It was a delight to hear from one person how much he appreciated the cause and what we were doing. It certainly put us all in good spirits for the evening. You can see from the pictures it’s a cause we strongly support and enjoy collecting for!

We all had a great evening, and would like to thank everyone for their kind contribution to this worthy cause and thank John, Jonathan, Bob and all the Research Club committee for their support.

New MR Event in France
STOP PRESS: PATRICK GEORGE AND GUILLAUME WEILL OF RECREATION WILL BE MAKING A SHORT PRESENTATION ABOUT THE NEW MR EVENT AT RESEARCH CLUB PARIS 2ND NOVEMBER!
A group of French market researchers have got together with all of the main professional associations to create a new Market Research event in France. The new event ‘Le Printemps des Etudes’ will take place on 5/6th of April 2012 at La Bourse in Paris
The not-for-profit group, which calls itself ‘Recreation’ have been motivated by the demand for a new type of MR event in France, one with a renewed focus on content.
The group has grown very quickly over the last nine months or so and many people have taken part in workshops to help define the shape of what will be a new event. There was then a pitch with several candidates and from that, a new supplier has been chosen to organize the inaugural event which will take place in Paris in April.
This new show has the clear aim of providing all participants with a more equitable and innovative environment and one in which their voices can be heard and their contributions welcomed.’
Recreation have started a Linkedin Group as a forum for debate:

The Recreation Group has stated “This Linkedin group demonstrates again the power of the social networks to launch new ideas and make them real. This time it’s not just a white paper, this is real action!”

Jonathan Wheeler of Research Club commented:
“Not only are we impressed by the democratic & inclusive nature of this group, but the thought of a co-created event, designed by the industry for the industry is fantastic! We at Research Club, offer our full support to the Recreation group, and look forward to a wonderful event in Paris in the Spring…”

Our Motto
The principles of the Research club are very simple – we want to get as many people as we can from the research industry connected in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.
It´s impossible to estimate the amount of business generated directly from the event but if you have attended The Research Club before you will know what to expect but if you haven´t yet had the chance to attend, we´d be delighted if you can join us at the best networking events in the research industry.
